Bottom's Up!
Saturday 28/10/06
With Steve the victim of a pothole putting us out of OMM I found an alternative.
The West Lancs section of LDWA challenge walk 'Bottom's Up' around Salmesbury, Blackburn and Darwen.
It was 22 miles long but only climbed around 2750 feet and went through plenty of mud.
I was the quickest runner (not by long though) in 3-55, not that anyone was counting.
Monster spreads at the checkpoints and pie and pudding at the end.
Good event to do as a training run, though local knowledge would have helped me not to get lost at a few places.
