Well done to Borrowdale's Mikey Cunningham who ran 2-53-36.
That's now four out of the last five Londons I've done (call yourself a fell runner?)
Gave myself a chance of sub 3 up to about 18 miles, before the wheels fell off. Plodded the rest.
Still pleased with it, might get an entry next year with the club place, else it's 3 peaks instead.

Caldervale 10 mile

Friday 14/04/06

Caldervale 10 mile road race - incl. 950ft of ascent.
43rd place - 1hr 07mins 13secs.

Tested out the iffy foot with another beast of a road race today.
Undulating to put it mildly - more climb than Coniston and 4 fewer miles.
Still, managed 2 mins 7 secs faster than last year, even with a dodgy hoof.

Coniston 14 mile road race - (well actually it's 13.875 miles) - incl. 920ft of ascent.
77th place - 1hrs 34mins 16secs.

More suffering on the roads. Windy and hilly this time too.
Seven minutes better than last year so musn't grrrrumble.
